Grand Prix Brescia (800m): Gouaned Sets New Personal Best

BRESCIA (Italy) — Algeria’s middle-distance runner Mohamed Ali Gouaned set a new personal best in the 800 meters while taking victory at Tuesday night’s Grand Prix Brescia in Italy.
The 23-year-old Algerian delivered an outstanding personal performance, clocking 1:43.56 to finish ahead of Morocco’s Zahafi Moad (1:43.82) and Spain’s Ben Adrian (1:44.05).
In a fiercely competitive race, the Algerian once again demonstrated his excellent form just two months before the World Athletics Championships, set to take place September 13-21 in Tokyo, Japan.
