Gaza Residents Consume an Average of One Meal Every Two Days (Report)

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) has reported that residents of the Gaza Strip are “consuming an average of one meal every two days,” as the Zionist entity continues its relentless aggression against the Palestinian enclave, obstructing the delivery of humanitarian aid to the population.
In a statement released on Thursday, the agency underscored the urgent food needs of Palestinians in Gaza, where the number of displaced individuals due to ongoing Zionist assaults has “reached two million.”
UNRWA emphasized that it, along with its partners, is distributing high-energy biscuits to children to help mitigate the effects of malnutrition.
Furthermore, it noted that, according to data from the Norwegian Refugee Council—an independent humanitarian organization—and other entities, 83 percent of the required food aid cannot be delivered to Gaza because of the continued Zionist aggression.
On Sunday, Kamel Ajour, chairman of the bakery association in Gaza City, warned of the imminent threat of famine returning to the northern part of the enclave, following the closure of five bakeries in the area and the resulting crisis in bread production.
Due to the conflict and Zionist restrictions that violate international laws, Palestinians in the Gaza Strip are experiencing severe shortages of food, water, and medicine, leading to reports of deaths caused by hunger.
Since October 7, 2023, the Zionist forces has been conducting a brutal offensive against Gaza, resulting in over 41,000 fatalities and nearly 100,000 injuries, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, alongside widespread destruction of infrastructure and an unprecedented humanitarian disaster.
