GAZA — At least 40 Palestinians have been martyred and 80 others injured in a Zionist airstrike on a residential block in Beit Lahiya, northern Gaza, WAFA said on Sunday, citing medical sources.
The strike targeted a block of at least five homes near the western roundabout in Beit Lahiya. The homes belonged to the Abu Shdaq, Al-Masri, and Salman families.
Local health authorities pointed out that the total number of Palestinian martyrs reported since the beginning of the Zionist offensive in northern Gaza earlier this month has now approached 1,000.
The ongoing genocide in the Gaza Strip since October 2023, has so far resulted in at least 42,847 documented martyrs, with over 100,544 others injured.
Meanwhile, thousands remained trapped under rubble, inaccessible to emergency and civil defence teams.
