Gaza Famine Death Toll Rises to 404 as Zionist Blockade Pushes Territory Deeper into Crisis

Five more Palestinians, including a child, died of starvation and severe malnutrition in the Zionist entity-blockaded Gaza Strip within the last 24 hours, the Health Ministry announced on Wednesday. The new deaths raise the famine-related toll since October 2023 to 404, among them 141 children.
According to the ministry, 126 of these deaths—including 26 children—have occurred since last month, when the UN-backed hunger monitoring system Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) formally declared Gaza a famine zone. The situation has worsened dramatically since March 2, when Zionist authorities sealed all border crossings, cutting off the enclave’s 2.4 million residents from food and humanitarian aid.
At the same time, the Zionist entity’s military campaign has unleashed devastating destruction and loss of life. Since October 2023, more than 64,600 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza. The ongoing offensive, combined with the blockade, has left the territory’s population facing not only relentless bombardment but also one of the worst humanitarian crises in recent history.
