Gaza: Communication services completely cut off in northern area

GAZA – The Palestinian Telecommunications Company (Paltel Group) announced on Saturday the complete disruption of internet services in northern Gaza, which has been subjected to ongoing massacres and forced displacement by the occupation forces for 15 days.

“The interruptions included most areas of northern Gaza, where it was preceded by scattered interruptions before it was completely disconnected, noting that its crews are working hard to restore services as soon as possible,” the company said in a statement.

These outages prevent areas in Jabalia Camp from reaching out to civil defence and medical services crews. Additionally, journalists face great difficulty in covering field developments amidst the ongoing offensive.

Since the beginning of the Zionist occupation’s genocidal aggression on October 7, 2023, communication and internet services have been interrupted several times across the Strip due to the intensive bombing that affected the communications network infrastructure.
