Gastech 2024: Hachichi Holds Key Sessions with Global Energy Firms
Rachid Hachichi, CEO of Algerian oil company Sonatrach, has conducted significant working sessions with prominent global energy companies on the third day of the Gastech World Energy Conference in Houston, Texas, as stated in a release from the public group on Friday.
Hachichi arranged several meetings with international energy firms, including the German company “Linde Gas,” which specializes in helium and industrial gases, and the American firm “Solar Turbines,” recognized for its turbine manufacturing expertise.
During this major energy event, a high-level meeting took place with Ismail Abdelfatah, the General Director of the Mauritanian Hydrocarbons Company (SMH). In this meeting, the Sonatrach CEO expressed his desire to revive the memorandum of understanding that was signed in 2023.
The Mauritanian delegation also expressed interest in leveraging Sonatrach’s expertise in training and technical cooperation.
In this context, Hachichi emphasized that “Sonatrach is prepared to resume its energy activities in Mauritania” and announced “the forthcoming organization of a meeting between both parties,” the statement concluded.
