The Charge d’Affaires of the French Embassy in Algiers was summoned on Wednesday to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) headquarters by the Director General of Protocol, as indicated in a statement from the ministry. This summons “follows the public statement issued by the French diplomatic mission concerning the accreditation of French diplomatic and consular agents in Algeria.”
“The French diplomat’s attention was firmly drawn to the serious breach of established diplomatic practices that characterizes the aforementioned statement,” the source added.
