Around 400 people were evacuated on Wednesday in Paris, France, due to a fire that broke out in a hotel, according to media reports.
The hotel, located in the 8th arrondissement of Paris, not far from the Élysée Palace, caught fire in its basement, prompting the evacuation of approximately 400 people. A large number of firefighters were deployed to the scene.
In a statement posted on social media, the Paris police prefecture urged the public to avoid the area to allow emergency services and police to carry out their operations.
