Former President Zeroual’s passing: President Tebboune receives condolences from Tunisian counterpart

President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune received a message of condolence from his brother, Kais Saied, president of the Tunisian Republic, in which he expressed, on behalf of himself and the Tunisian government and people, his profound sorrow following the passing of former mujaheed and President Liamine Zeroual.

In his message, the Tunisian president described the late president as “one of the national figures whose name will remain inscribed in golden letters in history,” adding that “his memory, like that of all who walked the path of freedom and loyalty to the homeland, will remain an inspiring source for future generations in terms of devotion and dedication to safeguarding Algeria’s freedom, the sovereignty of its state, and the dignity of its people.”
