Football/AFCON 2025 Preparations: Algeria Beat Saudi Arabia 2-0

The Algerian national football team defeated its Saudi counterpart 2-0 (halftime: 0-0) in a friendly match played on Tuesday evening at Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium in Jeddah, as the team prepares for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) finals, set to run from 21 December to 18 January 2026.
This means Algeria now has the upper hand in the head-to-head record against Saudi Arabia, with two wins to one loss, while two other matches have ended in draws.
The Greens had won their first friendly last Thursday, also at the same stadium, defeating Zimbabwe 3-1.
This result sees the national team conclude its training camp in the best possible fashion ahead of their final preparation camp before the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations finals.
