Flights Canceled Between German and Austrian Airports Due to Strike in Germany

Many flights between German and Austrian airports were canceled on Monday due to a strike in Germany, leaving most planes grounded at German airports. The 24-hour warning strike affected 13 airports, including all major airports in the country, according to the European platform “ORF.”

The platform reported that more than 3,000 flights were canceled, impacting approximately 500,000 passengers who were forced to change or cancel their travel plans.

In response, Vienna Airport advised all passengers on Monday to check their flight bookings to Germany.

The German services union “Verdi” had previously launched a series of warning strikes, significantly disrupting civil air transport.
