
ALGIERS – The Chairman of the National Civil Society Observatory (ONSC), Noureddine Benbraham, received Mrs. Saada Arbane, as part of the Observatory’s efforts to support her following her affair which aroused great interest at the national and international levels, ONSC said in a press release.
During this meeting, held at ONSC headquarters, Benbraham pledged to “follow matters relating to individual and collective rights,” stressing “the necessity of providing all necessary support to anyone facing injustice,” added the source.
The meeting also focused on “ways to strengthen solidarity within society to overcome this phase on a fair and equitable basis,” according to the source.
In this regard, Saada Arbane said she is “grateful for the support she received from the different sections of society,” emphasizing “the civil society’s key role in dealing with such affairs.”
This meeting comes after a major activity organized by the Observatory in collaboration with the National Council of the Medical Association of Algeria, focused on “legal and medical ethics within the framework of medical confidentiality.”
At the end of the meeting, Benbraham said that such affairs made it possible to “reaffirm the importance of solidarity,” underscoring “the Observatory’s commitment to supporting just causes and accompanying injured individuals to reach solutions that bring them justice,” added the source.
