FIFA World Ranking: Algeria Climbs Four Spots to 37th Place

The Algerian national football team has risen four places to secure the 37th position in the FIFA World Ranking for October, as announced on Thursday by the international governing body on its official website.

This improvement can be attributed to the two victories achieved by the Greens earlier this month against Togo (5-1 and 1-0) during the third and fourth rounds of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, which have confidently assured their place in the final phase of CAN-2025.

On a continental level, the Algerian team has also enhanced its standing, moving up two spots to rank 5th, ahead of Ivory Coast (40th worldwide), Tunisia (47th), and Cameroon (49th).

At the top of the global rankings, the 2022 World Champion Argentina continues to lead, followed by France in 2nd place.

European champion Spain remains in 3rd place, while England, the unfortunate finalists of Euro 2024, hold the 4th position.

There have been no changes among the other teams in the World Top 10. The next FIFA World Ranking will be published in November.
