FIFA President Gianni Infantino arrived on Thursday in Algiers, heading a delegation for an official working visit, the Algerian Football Federation (FAF) said on its official website.
The FIFA delegation was welcomed at Houari Boumediene International Airport, in Algiers, by Minister of Sports and FAF’s President Walid Sadi.
During the visit, FIFA’s President will inaugurate “Lalla Setti” regional technical center in Tlemcen, under the FIFA Forward program, and a FIFA Arena mini-pitch at Ahmed Inal middle school and will launch FIFA’s “Football for Schools” program.
The visit comes within the framework of strengthening cooperation between FIFA and FAF, particularly in infrastructure development and grassroots football promotion, the source added.
