Experts Praise Algeria’s Hosting of IATF 2025, Call for Future Editions in Algiers

Experts and participants at the 4th Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF), which concluded Wednesday at Algiers’ Exhibition Palace (September 4-10), unanimously hailed the edition’s success across all fronts, expressing hopes that Algeria will host future editions.

Speaking to APS during the continental event’s wrap-up, Sahrawi Minister of Commerce, Ahmed Bachri Ammi Omara, commended Algeria’s rigorous and excellent organization of the 4th edition, calling it a genuine opportunity that showcased the country’s remarkable capacity to host major international events.

The Sahrawi minister underlined that the impressive numbers of visitors, participants, and signed agreements at this major event clearly demonstrate Algeria’s thorough preparation and flawless organization in hosting the fair at every level.

A Nigerian trade expert said that Africa had eagerly anticipated Algeria’s hosting of this 4th edition of the major gathering, which successfully reinforced the importance of boosting intra-African investment and coordinating efforts among continental businesses.

According to him, Africa possesses abundant resources and tremendous potential to advance its development and coordinate its efforts without external interference, noting that Algeria served as a platform to strengthen these efforts and proudly represent the continent.

He offered sincere gratitude to Algeria, its president, and government for the coordination and organization that made this continental event successful, expressing hope that Algeria will host future editions.

For his part, Mohamed Youssef Kebir, director of Chad’s “Locavel” company, described Algeria’s hosting of this edition as “a historic gathering for Africa’s trade future.”

He commended the meticulous coordination and organization that defined this edition, extending warm appreciation to Algeria for its tremendous efforts in making this major event successful.

The Ethiopian Foreign Ministry’s representative pointed out that the fair fostered significant interaction among participating countries, leading to productive meetings with business and government entities focused on import-export initiatives, reflecting the exceptional partnership between African nations.

Nigerian journalist Blossom Madufokwa shared similar opinion, describing the fair as an exceptional and unprecedented event in terms of its organization and management.
