EU Approves Countermeasures Against US Tariffs, Set to Impact €21 Billion in Imports

In the latest escalation of the trade conflict, EU member states voted on Wednesday in favor of European Commission trade countermeasures against new US tariffs set to take effect next week. The measures will target imports including motorcycles, agriculture, and clothing, with a combined value of €21 billion ($23 billion).

The countermeasures come in response to US tariffs on steel and aluminum imports from the EU, which the bloc considers unjustified and damaging.
