EU Approves 19th Sanctions Package Targeting Russia

The European Union has adopted its 19th sanctions package against Russia, EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas announced on Thursday. The measures target Russian banks, crypto exchanges, and entities operating in countries including India and China.
The sanctions also restrict the movements of Russian diplomats, aiming to counter efforts to destabilize Europe. Kallas highlighted that the measures are designed to make it increasingly difficult for Russian President Vladimir Putin to finance the ongoing war in Ukraine, which will reach its fourth anniversary early next year.
