Erdogan Urges Trump to End Zionist Aggression

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan expressed hope on Friday, November 8, that U.S. President-elect Donald Trump would urge the Zionist entity to cease its aggression in the Middle East, suggesting that halting U.S. arms support to the entity could be a key solution.
Erdogan also suggested that the conflict in Ukraine could end quickly if Trump chose to take action. “Trump promised to end conflicts… We want that promise to be kept and for the Zionist entity to be told to stop,” Erdogan said to journalists on a flight back from Budapest, according to an official statement cited by Reuters.
“The fact that Trump stops providing weapons to the Zionist entity could be a good start to ending the Zionist aggression on Palestinian and Lebanese lands,” he added.
Turkey has strongly criticized Zionist aggression in Gaza and Lebanon, suspended its trade exchanges with the Zionist entity, and called for joining a genocide case against it at the International Court of Justice.
Regarding the Ukraine conflict, Erdogan expressed his belief that a swift resolution was possible if the U.S. administration under Trump showed the will to resolve the issue. “Efforts by certain Western countries, led by the U.S., to end the war in Ukraine will accelerate its resolution. From the beginning, we have chosen the side of peace, ignoring attempts to persuade us to take sides. We also observed that the West does not share our confidence in solving this problem through diplomacy. If the Trump administration approaches this issue from a different angle, we can easily end this war,” Erdogan said after his visits to Kyrgyzstan and Hungary, according to Turkey’s Anadolu Agency.
The Turkish leader emphasized that “more weapons, more bombs, and more chaos will not end this war.”
