Erdogan reiterates call for UN arms embargo on Zionist entity

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan urged the United Nations on Friday to impose an arms embargo on the Zionist entity, describing it as an “effective solution” to resolve the conflict in the Gaza Strip.
The Turkish leader made these comments in a statement following several hours of discussions in Istanbul with the foreign ministers of Russia, Iran, Armenia, and Azerbaijan as part of the 3rd meeting of the South Caucasus Regional Cooperation Platform.
According to the statement, the Zionist entity “seeks provocations to spread the conflicts in the region.” An arms embargo imposed by the United Nations on the Zionist entity “would be an effective solution to put an end to the aggression” of the occupying forces.
