Elon Musk Contributes $75 Million to Pro-Trump PAC Ahead of 2024 Elections

Elon Musk has contributed roughly $75 million to the political action committee (PAC) he founded to support Donald Trump’s presidential campaign over the past three months, according to federal documents.
The PAC, named America PAC, reported expenditures of about $72 million during the July to September timeframe, as shown in filings with the Federal Election Commission.
Officially independent, political action committees can spend unlimited funds to endorse their chosen candidates.
America PAC aims to rally pro-Trump voters for the upcoming November election. Its spending surpasses that of any other committee backing Trump.
The former president’s campaign relies significantly on independent organizations for voter outreach, with Musk’s Super PAC playing a vital role in the presidential race.
All funds raised by America PAC between July and September came from Elon Musk, leaving the committee with $4 million at the end of September, as per the documents.
Musk, the CEO of Tesla and owner of the social media platform X, had previously voted for Democratic candidates but expressed his support for Trump in July.
Earlier this month, he participated in his first campaign event for the Republican candidate in the lead-up to the November election.
America PAC declined to comment on Musk’s donations, and the billionaire has yet to respond to requests for a statement.
