El Djeich magazine: Despite the machinations of the schemers, the land of Chouhada will remain strong and united

El Djeich magazine said Algeria strongly condemned the horrific massacres and inhumane crimes committed against the Palestinian people, reaffirming its unwavering demand for the establishment of a Palestinian state with El Quds as its capital.
“With the end of 2025, Algeria concluded its term as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council. A term marked by marathon diplomatic battles in support of just causes. It was a voice of truth and justice advocating for the Palestinian cause, sparing no effort in mobilising the international community to put an end to the brutal Zionist aggression against the Gaza Strip,” El Djeich magazine said in its editorial titled, “New Year, Stronger Determination”.
Moreover, Algeria has “continued to defend the Sahrawi cause and the Sahrawi people’s right to self-determination. It has also exposed the ongoing violations of the Moroccan occupation, which disregards international conventions,” the editorial said.
Algeria Speaks for Africa
During its tenure on the Security Council, Algeria was a strong and sincere voice in serving the interests and aspirations of Africa.
“Our country strongly opposed the marginalisation of the continent, emphasising the need to redress the historical injustice it suffers and calling for the unification of African ranks,” the magazine said.
“Praised and trusted by Africans, these arduous positions found their translation in Algeria’s election to the Vice Chair of the African Union Commission and to the Peace and Security Council distinctions worthy of its steadfast commitment, the source said, adding that “this was shown in its tireless efforts to promote security and development in Africa, hosting regional events that had a positive impact on the continent and its people.”
Among the events successfully organised were the 12th High Level Seminar on Peace and Security in Africa (Oran Process), the International Conference on Colonial Crimes in Africa, the 4th edition of the Intra African Trade Fair, and the 4th African Conference for Start-ups.
This record was complemented by Algeria’s role as a member of international bodies, including the United Nations Economic and Social Council.
Momentum Across Sectors
The magazine noted that these successes achieved by Algeria at the regional and international levels come amidst the significant developmental momentum it is witnessing at various levels and in all sectors, including energy, mining, infrastructure, housing, health, and others.
“This is reflected in major achievements and accelerating economic and social gains, driven by the mobilisation of all Algerians. The most prominent Participants are the youth, who, with full support and care, are the driving force leading our country towards its goals and further progress on the path to victory,” the editorial said.
This was affirmed by the President of the Republic, Supreme Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of National Defence, Mr Abdelmadjid Tebboune, in his wishes to the Algerian people on the occasion of the new year 2026, stating that : “this new year will by Allah’s willings bring pride and honor to all Algerian women and men, thanks to the tireless efforts and sacrifices of our people across various fields, enabling Algeria to join the ranks of emerging countries in full security.”
“These achievements are the fruit of the sound vision of the country’s highest authorities, led by Mr President of the Republic, and of the awareness and will of the Algerian people to advance our nation and establish its solid foundations. It is also due to the combined efforts of all state institutions, including People’s National Army, the worthy heir to the National Liberation Army,” the editorial said, adding that “PNA works with determination and dedication to secure all the requirements of the utmost operational readiness. With the increase of its combat capabilities, and provision of all the necessary means, it maintains the security and stability of the homeland and the tranquillity of its citizens.”
Furthermore, it contributes to national development efforts, ensuring the continuation of the national development project with steadfastness within an atmosphere of stability and peace. This is reflected in the qualitative results achieved last year on various fronts, mainly in the fight against terrorism and organised crime and in securing the borders.
Security and Sovereignty
The magazine stressed that “these results confirm the constant readiness of our armed forces throughout our country to repel all attempts to undermine the security of our nation and our people and uphold national sovereignty. This is a sacred duty and an honour that our brave soldiers have the right to be proud of.”
Mr General Saïd Chanegriha, Delegate Minister to the Minister of National Defence, Chief of People’s National Army Staff, emphasised in his wishes to the personnel of People’s National Army on the occasion of the new year 2026, that “this duty includes redoubling efforts to combat the remnants of terrorism, acting with innovation, a spirit of initiative, intelligence, and discernment. Thus, enabling us to eradicate this scourge from our pure land; while also thwarting the attempts of the barons of organised crime to flood our country with all kinds of drugs and poisons. With these efforts, we foil all vile schemes that threaten Algeria’s unity, security, and stability. Algeria shall remain lofty, dignified, and victorious over those who oppose it.”
Algeria Moves Forward
El Djeich magazine concluded its editorial by reiterating that Algeria enters 2026 with renewed resolve an ambition, the nation remains committed toward building a new and triumphant country, while pursuing its path of development and progress. This calls for greater unity, stronger cohesion, and a shared sense of responsibility, duty and loyalty to the homeland. Such solidarity will enable Algeria to confront challenges, counter threats and safeguards its security and stability. Despite the machinations of the schemers, the land of Chouhada will remain strong, united and secure.
