El Djeich magazine said today’s Algeria is a vast workshop open to strategic projects, thanks to which it is steadily moving towards taking its place among emerging nations.
Strategic Project Achieved
In its editorial titled “Consecrating Sovereignty,” the magazine said Algeria is experiencing a major historical achievement, following the official announcement by the President of the Republic, Supreme Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of National Defence, Mr Abdelmadjid Tebboune, of the commencement of operations on the western mining railway line, Gara Djebilet – Tindouf – Bechar, extending over a distance of 950 kilometers. He also gave the signal for the departure of the train carrying the first shipment of iron ore from the Gara Djebilet mine, passing through Bechar towards Oran.
The editorial noted that this massive strategic project, as Mr President emphasised in his speech on this occasion, “marks a moment when we stand on the path to realising a historic strategic national achievement that was always considered a distant dream. However, this project has, thanks to Allah, concretised, inspired by the driving spirit that stirred the conscience of our ancestors and gave them strength in confronting the oppressive colonialism.” He further highlighted that “all capabilities have been harnessed to achieve the desired objectives in a sovereign, proud, and triumphant Algeria, which is advancing steadily towards achieving these goals, liberating itself from hydrocarbons, and relying on its own capabilities, thanks to the wealth and resources that Almighty Allah has bestowed upon us in all regions of our country.”
“Algeria’s abundant national resources, expertise, and skills, are capable of carrying the nation forward, no matter the effort or sacrifices required,” the President added.
Algeria’s Space Advancement
Algeria was also bolstered at the end of the last month with two new satellites Alsat-3A and Alsat-3B, part of the Algerian state’s ongoing efforts to master space technologies, thus ensuring the advancement of our geospatial information features, according to the magazine.
“These are significant gains, adding to those achieved in recent years, confirming that Algeria is moving confidently and steadily towards its rightful path,” the source said.
Key Occasions
The editorial highlighted that these strategic achievements “come as we are upon many significant occasions in February. In this month, we commemorate National Chahid’s Day, renewing our pledge of loyalty to our righteous Chouhada and their legacy. We also remember the Sakiet Sidi Youssef massacre, which underscored the unity and solidarity of the sibling Algerian and Tunisian peoples and reflected the barbarity and savagery of the French occupation. This abhorrent coloniser that began in this month of 1960 to perpetrate a series of horrific crimes in our country, including nuclear tests in our Sahara.”
The magazine added that this month also marks glorious days in the history of independent Algeria, such as the founding of the General Union of Algerian Workers, the nationalisation of hydrocarbons, and the recovery of the Mers El Kebir naval base, all part of our homeland assertion of sovereignty over its resources and capabilities. Besides these occasions, Algeria celebrates the National Day of Fraternity and Cohesion between the People and their Army for Democracy.
“Positively, our commemoration of all these occasions, as much as it is an acknowledgment of the virtuous and loyal Algerian women and men who sacrificed all they held dearest during the various stages of our country’s triumphant journey. It is also a station to draw lessons from their lofty and noble values and loyalty to their great sacrifices, especially in the current stage as Algeria is experiencing developments on all levels, under its promising national renaissance project. A project, we are all fighting to complete with all determination, perseverance and courage,” the magazine’s editorial said.
Overcoming All Attempts to Hinder
The magazine, moreover, emphasized that just as today’s Algeria is an oasis of security, stability, and tranquillity, it is also a vast workshop open to strategic projects, thanks to which it is steadily moving towards taking its place among emerging nations, despite all the pathetic and desperate attempts to obstruct and hinder its progress.
“These schemes have been recognised by the insightful Algerian people, who understand the malicious intent behind them and are astutely aware of the despicable nature of what Algeria’s enemies promote. These foes harbour deep-seated hatred for our country, and in their orbit followed by miserable and naive agents who have sold their homelands and themselves for the lowest price,” the source said.
“Their malicious schemes will undoubtedly fail because what they are promoting is empty content, flimsy in form. As they are merely poorly plotted and performed farces, falling within the context of dirty misleading campaigns against our country, which will never reach their end and will not achieve their despicable goals. They will remain mere ashes scattered by the wind and passing summer clouds that neither provide shade nor rain because they are nonsense that lacks the slightest professionalism and confirms the confusion and despair of their authors, and their reaching extremely low levels of depravity and decline,” the source added.
According to the editorial, there is no doubt that Algeria, despite all attempts at distortion, lies, and slander, is proceeding on its path with determination and resolve towards consolidating its political and economic independence, with gratitude to its loyal and honourable sons and daughters, who have sharpened their spirits and roused their resolve to build the new, triumphant Algeria.
“They are all proud of what they offer as they construct, with their sweat and toil, the landmarks of a bright tomorrow. Determined youth, to be worthy of the greatness of their country, resolved to safeguard the trust placed upon them. As is the case in People’s National Army, worthy heir of the National Liberation Army, which continues with all fortitude and competence to perform its noble constitutional duties, accompanying this developmental march that our country is witnessing,” the source noted.
El Djeich magazine stressed that these efforts are crystal clear through PNA contribution to various major projects, and vigilance in securing every inch of our pure land against all attempts to undermine its security, stability, and the peace of its people, thus strengthening its resilience and enhancing its growth and sovereignty.
