Egypt Postpones Extraordinary Arab Summit on Gaza to March 4

CAIRO, February 18, 2025 – Egypt announced on Tuesday that it has postponed the extraordinary Arab League summit concerning the Gaza Strip to March 4. The summit was originally scheduled to take place in Cairo next week, according to a statement from the Foreign Ministry.
The new date was established in coordination with Bahrain, which holds the rotating presidency of the Arab League, as well as other regional countries, and is part of the “logistical preparations” for the summit, the ministry clarified.
This summit was convened in response to U.S. President Donald Trump’s proposal to place the Gaza Strip under American control and relocate its population to Egypt and Jordan.
