Economic Forum between Algeria and South Africa Launches in Algiers

The Algerian-South African Economic Forum officially began on Thursday in Algiers, co-chaired by Minister of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion, Mohamed Boukhari, and South Africa’s Minister of Trade, Industry, and Competition, Parks Tau.

The forum, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion in collaboration with the Algerian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CACI), the Algerian Investment Promotion Agency (AAPI), and the Council for Algerian Economic Renewal Council (CREA), convenes business leaders and economic operators from both nations across various sectors and investment domains.

Under the theme “Towards a Sustainable and Productive Partnership,” the event will feature several business-to-business (B2B) meetings aimed at identifying opportunities and fostering partnerships.

This forum coincides with the state visit of South African President Cyril Ramaphosa to Algeria, which begins today.

Both countries, endowed with substantial economic potential and strong historical ties, are eager to bolster their strategic partnership and explore new avenues for enhancing cooperation.
