Documentary Reveals Identity of Zionist Soldier Who Killed Shireen Abu Akleh

A new investigative documentary titled “Who Killed Shireen?” produced by Zeteo Media has publicly identified the Zionist soldier who killed Palestinian-American journalist Shireen Abu Akleh. The film names 22-year-old Alon Scagio as the sniper responsible for the fatal shooting during a Zionist military operation in Jenin on May 11, 2022.

According to the documentary, Scagio was later killed during another Zionist military operation in the same city in June 2024. The 40-minute film not only exposes the identity of the shooter but also criticizes both the United States and the Zionist entity for failing to conduct a transparent and credible investigation into Abu Akleh’s death.

Shireen Abu Akleh, a veteran correspondent for Al Jazeera, was shot in the head despite wearing a press vest and helmet while covering a Zionist raid on a refugee camp in Jenin, located in the northern part of the occupied West Bank. Her death sparked outrage globally and especially among Palestinians, who viewed her as a trusted voice reporting on the Zionist occupation for more than two decades.

Born on April 3, 1971, in East Jerusalem, Abu Akleh later obtained U.S. citizenship after spending time in the United States. Her killing remains a painful symbol of the risks faced by journalists in conflict zones and of the continuing demand for accountability in her case.
