Algiers – Djamel Sedjati, who won the bronze medal in the 800m at the Paris 2024 Olympics and the silver medal at the Diamond League final, was named Algeria’s Athlete of the Year 2024 during a ceremony held Sunday evening at the Algeria Press Service (APS) headquarters in Algiers, as part of the “Brahim Dahmani” poll.
Meanwhile, gymnast Kaylia Nemour, who was voted the best Algerian female athlete for the second consecutive year in the APS “Brahim Dahmani” poll, expressed her happiness at retaining her title.
