Death of Pope Francis : President Tebboune Extends Condolences

ALGIERS – The Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, sent a message of condolences on Monday to Cardinal Kevin Farrell, who is in charge of managing the Vatican’s current affairs and representing all Christians around the world, following the death of Pope Francis.
“It is with deep sorrow and great emotion that I learned the sad news of the passing of the Sovereign Pontiff, Pope Francis, after a long illness.
In this time of great sorrow, I wish to extend to the Vatican, to all its institutions, and to all Christians around the world, on behalf of the Algerian people, the Algerian Government, and in my own name, my sincere condolences and the expression of my profound compassion for the loss of this eminent figure who left a lasting mark on our contemporary history.
The late Pope dedicated his life to spreading the love of God, the One and Only, and to promoting the values of fraternity, solidarity, and coexistence among peoples. Before being called to the Almighty, his sincerity and dedication to the causes of the oppressed, the needy, and the poor earned him the love and deep sympathy of peoples.
While sharing in your sorrow during these difficult times, I ask you, Cardinal, to accept the expression of my sincerest feelings of compassion and sympathy,” reads the Algerian President’s message of condolence.
