Death of former President Zeroual: President Tebboune receives condolences from Sahrawi President

The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, received a message of condolence from his brother, Brahim Ghali, President of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, following the passing of former President and mujahid Liamine Zeroual.
In his message, the Sahrawi president affirmed that “with his passing, Algeria has lost one of its great men and eminent figures who wrote their names in letters of gold in the record of loyalty, patriotism and dedication to the service of the homeland.” He further extended, on his own behalf and on behalf of the Sahrawi people, his deepest condolences to the President of the Republic, and through him to the Algerian government and people, as well as the family of the deceased.
He stressed that “the Sahrawi people will continue to remember the late Liamine Zéroual for his supportive stances toward their just struggle, embodying Algeria’s unwavering support for just causes around the world, and its backing of people’s right to self-determination and independence.”
