The Algerian President, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, received a condolence message from his brother the President of Turkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, following the passing of former President, the mujahid Liamine Zeroual.
In his message, Erdogan extended his “sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy to the family of the deceased and to the Algerian people,” praising the late president’s “exceptional place in Algeria’s history and in the hearts of its people.” He also underlined that Zeroual “served his country with dedication, not only during his presidency, but throughout the many roles and responsibilities he held.”
