COP30 Site in Brazil Evacuated Due to Fire

The site hosting the COP30 climate summit in Belem, Brazil, was evacuated Thursday due to a fire, on the orders of security personnel, according to media on the ground.

Flames broke out at a country’s stand near the entrance, producing thick smoke outside, while security agents tried to extinguish the fire with extinguishers as firefighters arrived on the scene, the same sources added.
