Chinese Smart Dragon-3 Rocket launches eight satellites from Sea

HAIYANG – China launched a Smart Dragon-3 carrier rocket on Tuesday from waters near the city of Haiyang in the eastern Shandong province, successfully placing eight satellites into the intended orbit, according to Xinhua news agency.

The commercial rocket lifted off at 10:31 AM (Beijing time), carrying Tianyi-41 and other satellites.

The Taiyuan Satellite Launch Centre conducted this offshore launch.
