An agreement between China and the United States, which wipes out a significant portion of the tariffs they have imposed on one another, went into effect on Wednesday. This marks a major step toward resolving their trade war, which has shaken up the global economy.
Washington and Beijing announced on Monday a substantial reduction of these punitive tariffs following discussions that took place over the weekend in Geneva, Switzerland.
