China to Host Russia and Iran for Talks on Iranian Nuclear Issue

China will hold a trilateral meeting with Russia and Iran on Friday to discuss the Iranian nuclear issue, the Chinese Foreign Ministry announced. The meeting, set to take place in Beijing, will be chaired by Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Ma Zhaoxu, with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Ryabkov Sergey Alexeevich and Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi representing their countries.

According to the ministry, the three sides will exchange views on the Iranian nuclear issue and other topics of mutual interest. The meeting comes amid ongoing geopolitical tensions, as Beijing continues its diplomatic efforts to facilitate dialogue on key regional matters.

Meanwhile, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei reaffirmed Tehran’s stance against external pressure, stating that Iran would not be coerced into negotiations. His remarks follow U.S. President Donald Trump’s claim that he had sent a letter urging Iran to engage in talks on a new nuclear deal.
