China Says ‘Shocked’ by Zionist Strikes on Gaza Hospital

China expressed its “shock” on Tuesday at the recent Zionist strikes on a hospital in southern Gaza, which resulted in at least 20 casualties on Monday within the Palestinian enclave, including five journalists.

“We are shocked and condemn the fact that medical personnel and journalists have once again unfortunately lost their lives in the conflict,” stated Guo Jiakun, Foreign Ministry spokesperson, during a press briefing in Beijing.

“China is highly concerned about the current situation in the Gaza Strip,” he remarked at a daily press conference, urging the Zionist entity to ” immediately stop its military operations in Gaza, achieve a comprehensive and lasting ceasefire as soon as possible, fully restore the entry of humanitarian supplies, prevent a larger-scale humanitarian crisis, and work to ease tensions as quickly as possible.”

China condemns “all actions that harm civilians… including acts of violence against journalists,” he added.

Several countries and international organizations have condemned the Zionist strikes on Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, southern Gaza, which led to at least 20 casualties, including five journalists.
