China Reaffirms Support for Cuba’s Sovereignty, Pledges Stronger Bilateral Ties

China has reaffirmed its firm support for Cuba’s sovereignty and security, voicing opposition to external interference and attempts to undermine the island nation’s development, a spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry said.
The remarks came during a meeting in Beijing between Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla. According to the spokesperson, China considers its relationship with Cuba to be based on mutual respect and shared principles of independence and non-interference.
Beijing also pledged continued support for Havana and expressed readiness to further strengthen China–Cuba ties, underscoring its commitment to deepening political cooperation and long-term partnership between the two countries.
