China Announces US$100 Million in Humanitarian Aid to Palestine

Chinese authorities announced on Thursday the allocation of US$100 million in humanitarian aid to the State of Palestine, with the aim of supporting efforts to alleviate the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip caused by two years of Zionist aggression.

“China has decided to grant a humanitarian aid of 100 million dollars to the State of Palestine, aimed at supporting efforts to mitigate the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip and to promote rapid recovery and reconstruction programs in the Palestinian enclave,” the Chinese authorities said in a statement, relayed by the Wafa news agency.

In response to this announcement, the Palestinian president, Mahmoud Abbas, sent a letter of thanks and recognition to the President of the People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping, in which he expressed his deep gratitude.

In his message, Abbas said that this “generous initiative embodies China’s sincere and unwavering stance in favor of truth and justice,” and reflects the depth of moral and human solidarity shown by Chinese leaders toward the Palestinian people in face of the unprecedented aggression and human suffering they endure.
