Chief of Staff of Algerian Army Received by Qatari Minister of State for Defence Affairs
General Saïd Chanegriha, Deputy Minister to the Minister of Defence and Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army, started on Sunday an official visit to the State of Qatar, to attend the 9th edition of the Doha International Maritime Defense Exhibition and Conference “DIMDEX 2026”.
The visit comes at the invitation of Lieutenant General (Pilot) Jassim bin Mohammed Al-Mannai, Chief of Staff of Qatar Armed Forces, according to a statement by the Algerian Ministry of Defense.
He was received upon his arrival at Doha International Airport by Major General Hamad bin Ahmed Al Nuaimi, Adviser to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs, along with the Ambassador of Algeria to the State of Qatar, Salah Attia, the statement said.
During this visit, General Chanegriha is set to hold meetings with a number of Qatari officials to discuss ways to enhance and further develop bilateral military cooperation, in a manner that serves the shared interests of the two brotherly countries and strengthens coordination in areas of mutual concern, the statement added.
