Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Republic of Korea receives the Chief of Staff of the Algerian Army
Army General, Saïd Chanegriha, Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defense, and Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army, attended on Monday along with his accompanying delegation, the official opening ceremony of the Seoul International Aerospace and Defense Exhibition “ADEX-2025”.
The ceremony was presided over by the President of the Republic of Korea, Lee Jae-myung, who welcomed the participating delegations in his opening address and expressed his hope that the exhibition would live up to the expectations of all participants.

The reception, attended by members of both the Algerian military delegation and the Korean delegation, was dedicated to assessing the status of bilateral military cooperation between Algeria and the Republic of Korea, and exploring various ways and means to enhance this cooperation in line with the strong determination of the leaderships of both countries, the Algerian Ministry of Defense said in a statement.
During this meeting, Army General Saïd Chanegriha delivered a speech in which he expressed his appreciation and gratitude for the warm welcome extended to him and his accompanying delegation, as well as for the invitation to attend this important event. He also congratulated the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Republic of Korea on his recent appointment to the position, wishing him success in his duties.
“I would like to take this opportunity to extend my heartfelt congratulations to you on your appointment as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. I wish you success in your noble duties,” he said.
“While affirming our readiness to enhance the level of military cooperation between our two armies, I also wish the ‘ADEX-2025’ international exhibition every success and hope it achieves the objectives intended by its organization,” he added.
“Our participation in this exhibition, which is a global event showcasing the latest technological innovations in the field of defense, will strengthen the path of bilateral military cooperation by exploring technological and industrial capabilities and examining ways to reinforce our defense system and develop our military capacities.”
On his part, General Jin Young-sung, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Republic of Korea, expressed his pleasure in receiving Army General Saïd Chanegriha and his accompanying delegation, praising the will of both parties to establish promising military cooperation that rises to the level of the strategic partnership linking the two countries, through opening wider fields of cooperation in the future.
