ALGIERS – The Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, Mr. Leonid Slutsky, arrived in Algeria on Thursday for an official one-day visit, according to a statement from the People’s National Assembly.
Mr. Slutsky was received at Algiers’ Houari Boumediene International Airport by Mr. Mondher Boudan, Deputy Chairman of the People’s National Assembly and head of the Algeria-Russia Parliamentary Friendship Group, the statement added.
During his visit, Mr. Slutsky, who also chairs the parliamentary group of the Liberal Democratic Party, is scheduled to hold meetings with several officials. These discussions aim to explore ways to enhance cooperation in various fields, according to the statement from the People’s National Assembly.
