Chaib Welcomes President of Iran-Algeria Parliamentary Friendship Group at Iranian ICA

Sofiane Chaib, Algerian Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, in charge of the National Community Abroad, met on Wednesday with Hassan Ghashghavi, President of the Iran-Algeria Parliamentary Friendship Group at the Iranian Islamic Consultative Assembly. Ghashghavi is in Algeria for a working visit at the invitation of his counterpart, the President of the Algeria-Iran Parliamentary Friendship Group at the National People’s Assembly (APN), according to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Community Abroad, and African Affairs.

This meeting provided an opportunity to review the state of fraternal relations and cooperation between the two countries and to explore avenues for strengthening these ties, particularly in the realm of parliamentary diplomacy. The statement indicated that both parties expressed satisfaction with the positive momentum characterizing bilateral relations, reflecting the shared commitment of the leaders of both nations.

Furthermore, the meeting facilitated an exchange of views on regional and international issues of mutual interest, with particular emphasis on the Palestinian question, the statement concluded.
