Chaib Announces Expansion of Mobile Consular Services for Algerian Community Abroad

ALGIERS – Algerian Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, in charge of the National Community Abroad, Sofiane Chaib, presided on Saturday over the first-of-its-kind virtual meeting with the Algerian community residing in the Hamburg district of Germany, as part of ongoing and direct communication with members of the national community abroad.
This meeting took place on the occasion of their participation in the mobile consular duty organized by the services of the Algerian Embassy in Berlin, in the presence of the Algerian Ambassador to Germany, the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.
In this regard, Chaib reaffirmed his personal commitment to issuing clear instructions to the heads of diplomatic and consular missions to generalize and intensify the use of mobile consular services in areas where Algerian nationals reside. He emphasized “the positive and effective role this mechanism plays in providing consular services to members of our community, easing the challenges they face in traveling to embassies and consulates, and strengthening the bonds of trust with diplomatic and consular institutions,” the statement said.
The meeting, marked by a spirit of friendliness and brotherhood, was characterized by positive and engaging interaction. It provided an opportunity to learn about the situation of our community members, listen to their concerns, and gather their opinions and suggestions, with the aim of ensuring better support and more effective responses to their aspirations, the statement added.
Additionally, Chaib highlighted the attention given by the country’s highest authorities to its community abroad, praising the protection, care, and consideration this group receives from the state, as well as its commitment to continuously monitoring their situation and strengthening their ties with the homeland.
