Central African Republic: Official Publication of Final Electoral Roll

The National Elections Authority (ANE) of the Central African Republic (CAR) has officially published the final electoral roll, which will serve as the basis for the upcoming national elections scheduled for December 2025, according to official sources.

According to the data released on Saturday by the institution in charge of organizing elections in the CAR, the validated electoral register contains a total of 2,398,158 registered voters. This includes 1,641,083 people enrolled during the 2020 electoral review and 757,075 new registrants in 2025.

The gender distribution indicates 1,252,406 male voters and 1,145,752 female voters, reflecting a significant participation of women in the democratic process.

The president of the ANE, Mathias Barthélemy Morouba, stated that the establishment of this list was carried out in a spirit of transparency, inclusiveness, and respect for international standards, stressing that it now constitutes “the foundation of free, credible, and democratic elections.”

Welcoming the mobilization of citizens, the logistical and technical support of the Central African government, as well as the contribution of international partners, the ANE urged all stakeholders—political parties, voters, civil society, and institutions—to take ownership of the electoral process in a spirit of peace, responsibility, and national cohesion.
