Canadian MP Denounces Western ‘Hypocrisy’ on Palestine

Canadian MP Heather McPherson draws on a a UN report which found that “”Israel”‘s war on Gaza is consistent with genocide”. She says that Canada is “legally obligated by the Genocide Convention to stop Netanyahu’s attack on Palestinians”. McPherson has previously criticised the government’s lack of progress on promised sanctions and arms embargoes against the zionist entity at the House of Commons.

McPherson is a foreign affairs critic for the NDP, who have been urging the Liberals to recognise Palestinian statehood. McPherson said Canada should recognise Palestinian statehood before an election takes place.

Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre is leading in the polls, and McPherson accuses his party of being undeniably supportive of the Zionist entity.
