Canada : Lightning and heat exacerbate British Columbia wildfires

According to BC Wildfire Service, 300 fires were recorded in the province, with more than half the number classified as uncontrollable, in addition to 70 more erupted in the last 24 hours. The catastrophe exacerbated due harsh climate conditions.
“The prolonged hot and dry conditions being experienced across the Southeast Fire Centre, paired with passing storm systems, means that residents can expect to continue to see increased overall wildfire activity across the region,” the BC Wildfire Service said on Saturday.
Accordingly, 1,000 provincial firefighters are on the ground, and citizens were evacuated from fire zones, along with announcing safety instructions.
