CAF Awards 2025: Algerian Ngazi Nominated for Best Goalkeeper

Algerian international goalkeeper Chloé Ngazi of Olympique de Marseille is among the ten nominees for the African Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year award at the 2025 CAF Awards, the African confederation (CAF) said in a statement on Friday.
Ngazi, 29, has established herself in recent years as a reliable presence between the posts, both for her club and the Algerian national team, thanks to her consistency and solid performances in Marseille colors.
The goalkeeper received her first call-up to the national team in March 2020 for a preparatory camp ahead of the first round of the 2020 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, which were eventually canceled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
She earned her first official cap in October 2021 under coach Radia Fertoul, during Algeria’s resounding 14-0 victory over Sudan in the 2022 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
