Busy Agenda for Algerian President During His Official Visit to Italy

The official visit of Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to Italy features a packed agenda that highlights the strong historical ties and reliable strategic partnership between the two nations, as well as their shared commitment to enhancing bilateral cooperation across various sectors.
President Tebboune arrived in Rome on Tuesday leading a significant delegation for this important visit, which plays a vital role in strengthening the longstanding friendship and advancing bilateral relations in multiple areas between the two countries.
As part of the visit’s itinerary, a formal welcome will be held on Wednesday at the Quirinal Palace, where President Sergio Mattarella will receive President Tebboune, in accordance with Italian protocol traditions. The two leaders will then engage in discussions focusing on bilateral cooperation and various regional and international issues of mutual interest.
Following his meeting with his Italian counterpart, President Tebboune will preside over the Algerian side of the fifth session of the high-level Algeria-Italy intergovernmental Summit, which will take place at Chigi Palace, the headquarters of the Italian Prime Minister’s office.
In the afternoon, President Tebboune will oversee the conclusion of the Algeria-Italy Business Forum being held during this visit. This forum will provide an opportunity for business leaders from both countries to explore investment opportunities and forge new partnerships in various sectors, including energy, infrastructure, transportation, agriculture, industry, pharmaceuticals, and more.
Moreover, several meetings are scheduled throughout the visit between members of the ministerial delegation accompanying the Algerian president and their counterparts from the Italian Republic. These meetings aim to strengthen cooperative relationships and assess partnership opportunities in new areas that align with the aspirations of both nations. This aligns with the directives of the presidents of both countries and underscores their commitment to advancing the momentum of bilateral relations, which have been marked in recent years by the implementation of numerous vital projects and the signing of several new agreements, alongside the enhancement of dialogue and strategic cooperation between these two friendly nations.
