Benin: Three Soldiers Killed, Four Injured in Attack

On Monday, three Beninese soldiers were killed, and four others were injured in an attack in northeastern Benin, according to military sources reported on Tuesday.
“Three members of the Mirador operation lost their lives in an assault carried out by unidentified individuals,” stated the source regarding the incident in Malanville, a border town with Niger, as reported by AFP.
Additionally, it was noted that “four soldiers sustained injuries and are currently receiving emergency medical care.” The troops were tasked with monitoring the extensive oil pipeline that links the Agadem oil fields in southeastern Niger to the coastal region of Benin, as indicated by the same source.
