Belarus willing to raise relations with Algeria to “highest possible level,” says President Lukashenko

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko expressed Wednesday his country’s willingness to strengthen bilateral relations with Algeria and raise them to the “highest possible level.” “We will work to strengthen our relations to bring them to the highest possible level,” the Belarusian President said in a press statement following his talks with the President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
Describing his visit to Algeria as a “historic” milestone in bilateral relations, he underlined that he shares a “pragmatic approach” with the President of the Republic.
He said he discussed bilateral relations and international issues with the President of the Republic, expressing that he was “impressed” by Algeria’s progress in several areas, particularly in advanced technologies.
He also welcomed the “very important” agreements concluded between the two countries during this visit.
Lukashenko also expressed his country’s readiness to “share its expertise, skills and technologies” with Algeria across multiple sectors, especially since, he said, Algeria offers “very promising” investment opportunities.
The Belarusian President extended an invitation to the President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune, along with the government’s members and Algerian experts, to visit Belarus.
