BBC Accused of Complicity in Gaza Genocide as Protesters Occupy Manchester Office
A group of pro-Palestine protesters occupied the lobby of the BBC office in Manchester on Monday, accusing the broadcaster of being “complicit” in the Zionist entity’s genocide in Gaza. The action was organized by Youth Demand, a solidarity group, whose members unfurled Palestinian flags and banners inside the building while others demonstrated outside, chanting slogans. One banner read: “Stop arming Israel.”
“The BBC is complicit in genocide. Palestinians are being starved and murdered, while the BBC fail to report on Israel’s war crimes,” the group wrote on the social media platform X, sharing photos of activists inside the lobby.
The protest came as Gaza’s Health Ministry reported six more Palestinian deaths, including two children, from starvation and severe malnutrition in the past 24 hours. Since October 2023, Zionist aggression on Gaza has killed more than 64,000 Palestinians and left the enclave in ruins.
