Bahraini Delegation Explores Investment Opportunities in FinTech in Algeria

ALGIERS – The Director General of the Algerian Investment Promotion Agency (AAPI), Omar Rekkache, met with a delegation of Bahraini businessmen, accompanied by the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Ali Jassem Al Aradi, in Algiers to discuss investment opportunities in financial technology (FinTech) in Algeria, according to a statement from the agency.
The meeting was attended by Abdulwahed Al Janahi, Chief Executive of BENEFIT (Bahrain’s Electronic Network for Financial Transactions), and Rana Almaeeli, Chief Executive of its subsidiary SINNAD.
Both parties explored prospects for business cooperation and strategies to enable BENEFIT and SINNAD to provide services in Algeria’s banking and financial sectors, with a focus on FinTech and digital banking services, which are key components of Algeria’s digital transformation strategy, the statement noted.
The AAPI Director General presented the legislation governing such investments, emphasizing the agency’s role in supporting foreign investors in implementing their projects.
